the a/c is working again! AM Review Session we did Period 4 and practice test 2014 - PM - if you would like to continue to review with Mr. Bernstein he still has room! If you did not go to Mr. Bernstein's review yesterday and would like to come to mine - I will go over time period 3 and 4 and do 2015 practice test (So either way, you will get as much review in as possible!)

I hope by now that you have started studying on your own for the AP exam. This is not a test that anyone can pass by cramming and relying on class notes. You MUST read the text, review vocabulary, and do practice questions. Make sure that you check out all of the resources on this website. Make sure to include and opening statement (one that addresses the time period and the empires you will be speaking of). Then, choose the three (either 2 sims and 1 diff or 2 diff and 1 sim) that you will be elaborating on in the rest of your essay).

It is absolutely fine and encouraged for you to look for information to help you.

This needs to be done by tomorrow. You do not have to highlight anything before class - we will do that in class.

After 60 papers being exactly the same, sometimes I may have lumped an incorrect paper in with the group! Do not be afraid to ask questions!

- Unit 2 test is next week - the grade will be going on the first quarter report card.
- When doing assignments - allowing people to copy your paper - or copying the paper of someone else - is considered cheating (copying). This is an Advanced Placement class, and if you still make it painfully obvious that you have participated in this - points will be deducted or zeros will be added in gradebook.
- Make sure that you are reading your textbook (use the online version if you need to), the review books, the links under the Unit 2 tab, and review your notes for the upcoming exam.
- Period 4 seems to have vanished temporarily (I hope) from my Gradebook - once it shows back up, I will continue to put in grades for you

Course Description:
Advanced Placement World History is a rigorous two-term course that is structured around the investigation of selected themes woven into key concepts covering distinct chronological periods/eras. The AP World History course content is structured around the investigation of five course themes and 19 key concepts in six different chronological periods, from approximately 8000 B.C.E. to the present. Students will also be required to think on many different geographical and temporal scales in order to compare historical events over time and space. The course relies heavily on college level resources. This includes texts, a wide variety of primary sources, and interpretations presented in historical scholarship. These resources are designed to develop the skills required to analyze point of view and to interpret evidence to use in creating plausible historical arguments. These tools will also be used to assess issues of change and continuity over time, identifying global processes, comparing within and among societies, and understanding diverse interpretations. Students will show their mastery of the course goals by taking part in the College Board AP World History Exam on May 12, 2016.

The AP World History course content is structured around the investigation of five course themes and 19 key concepts in six different chronological periods, from approximately 8000 B.C.E. to the present. The Five Course Themes are:
